Charles Hunt
was a British Victorian genre painter renowned for his finely detailed and often humorous depictions of everyday rural life. Born in Kensington, London, he became particularly known for scenes of cottage interiors, farmyards, and village characters, frequently incorporating animals whose anatomy and character he rendered with remarkable skill.
Hunt exhibited at the Royal Academy, the British Institution, and Suffolk Street throughout the second half of the nineteenth century.
